Has not heard if Scape has any prospect of letting his house. His necessity of economy. Wonders if Mr. Pitt's schemes of taxation are true as reported. Any political exertion hopeless. Was sure Tierney would not be inactive. Cannot imagine what he laments in Fox's speech, unless the reference to reform are too strong. Does not wish to leave Mary alone. Is glad of the success of the inoculation. Wishes little Nan was through it. Mary sends love to Bessy.
