- Scope and ContentThe deponent says that although the £17..13..1½d was charged on Sir Francis Stanton as abovesaid the greatest part of the arrears is to be charged on one Nicholas Colquitt as tenant of two messuages and certain lands thereto belonging, the one called Mombrayes charged with 10s..2d per annum and the other one called Merewedders, parcel of the said manor charged with 10s per annum, which said 20s..2d per annum said Colquitt is not chargeable now to pay to said Sir Francis Stanton towards the satisfaction of the said arrears but also to answer to this deponant the like sum paid to the King's use by this deponant as collector of the whole fee farm rent of the said manor for some years before and since the said arrears so became upon the said tenants of the said manor in Michaelmas 4 [Charles 1628] as aforesaid.
