to hold to ii) on uses:
to use of i) until marriage
to use of i) for 99 years if he so long live
all premises except capital messuage of i) in Ashburnham and grounds adjoining called the Motefield, Parkfield, Viccaridge Field, Maulthouse Field, Store Field, Hazehill Field, Widow Field, Horse Meadow, Barnfield, Gangnish Meadow, Lady Wish, the Upper Poole, Baybrooke and the other 4 closes called the Park Fields to use that from death of i), iii) may take therefrom £1,000 per annum payable half yearly entailed on heirs male of i) and iii) and in default on sons of 2nd marriage if i) should remarry after death of iii)
in default of issue successively to Bertram Ashburnham of Middle Temple, London esquire, to Charles Ashburnham esquire, younger brother of said Bertram, to Honourable William Ashburnham of City of Westminster esquire, cofferer of King’s household, to Denny Ashburnham of Broomeham, Sussex, baronet, to Thomas Ashburnham of Bassett, Sussex, gentleman, and then to use of Thomas Ashburnham son of said Thomas.
if i) has more than one son or any daughters then marsh lands called Devenishwish, Beddingham, Wettmarsh, Northles, Kilthornes, Pickfield, the croft at Sackville Gutt and all other premises purchased by said Lady Elizabeth Cramond of said George Stround and marsh grounds called the Dowles alias the Doles and lands in Pevensey and Westham aforesaid called South Leas 87 acres (parcel of premises purchased by William Ashburnham of Arthur Amherst), then in that case
i) may make void the aforesaid uses in order to appoint new uses to provide portions for daughters and younger sons.
