    Parties: (i) Joseph Sharples, William Exton and Jeffery Lucas, all of Hitchin, bankers; (ii) Samuel Goujon of Luton, straw hat merchant; (iii) John Francis Bontems of Hemel Hempstead, brewer, and John Everett of Luton, manufacturer Reciting: - indenture dated 29 May 1846 between Thomas Davies (1st part), Samuel Goujon (2nd part), and Joseph Sharples, William Exton and Jeffery Lucas (3rd part) reciting Z1550/13, mortgage by Samuel Goujon to Thomas Davies for £1000 of which only £400 now remains due; Goujon owes £2109 to Sharples, Exton and Lucas, who pay £500 to Davies; Davies releases (a) to Sharples, Exton and Lucas until such time as Goujon repays £2509 plus 5% interest Operative part: (i) sell (a) to (iii) with consent of (ii) for £1100 Property: (a) 5 acres 1 rood and 1 perch situate in common field of Luton called Bridge Field, numbered 1155 in the parish map. Formerly consisted of two closes of land long since united into one close, bounded on: NE partly by Auction Close and partly land of the Marquis of Bute; NW by the road leading to Round Green; SE by the highway from Luton to Hitchin; SW by land of Frederick Burr and Charles Burr called Donkey Hall Field, now laid out for building ground (ground plan included indicates property on corner of York Street and Hitchin Road) Witness: Joshua Whiting
