    Recites: Deed Poll 22 December 1760 Endorsed on RO14/73 whereas: it is believed that the said £500 has been long since satisfied but it does not appear by deeds when or to whom payment was made Recites: February 1771 probate of will of John late Duke of Bedford granted to Most Noble Gertrude Dowager Duchess of Bedford, Most Noble Caroline Duchess of Marlborough (wife of Most Noble George Duke of Marlborough) and Robert Palmer esquire, executors therein named whereas: Gertrude survived co-executors and probate of her will granted July 1794 to Right Honourable William Russell commonly called Lord William Russell one of the executors named therein who survived Right Honourable John Russell and died May 1840 intestate whereas: John Duke of Bedford bequeathed residue of estate to executors in trust for such one of his grandsons as should first attain the age of 21 under which provisions Francis Duke of Bedford (since deceased) became entitled to said residue whereas: Francis Duke of Bedford died 1802 and by will appointed brother Most Noble John late Duke of Bedford universal legatee but named no executor March 1802 Administration with will annexed granted to John late Duke of Bedford who died October 1839 and by will appointed Right Honourable William Russell commonly called Lord William Russell, George William Russell commonly called Lord George William Russell and William George Adam of Lincolns Inn esquire executors of whom only Lord George William Russell survives and resides at Vienna in Empire of Austria; bequeathed residue of personal estate on same trusts as therein declared concerning monies to arise from Cambridgeshire estates which are devised to said John late Duke of Bedford to undersigned Francis Duke of Bedford whereby said Francis is party who would benefit from said £500 if it were now due now: i) quitclaim to ii) - all right in said premises and 2 terms of 1,000 years on account of said sum of £500 signed: i) Witnesses: Christopher Heady and Joseph Bailey, Bedford Office, Bloomsbury
