Admittance: Frederick Hogg of Girtford, merchant and William Lindsell of Huntingdon, merchant recites: Will of Samuel Wells, made 16 October 1816 appoints sons in law Robert Lindsell and William Hogg executors with Joseph Meen (died during lifetime of Samuel Wells) for sale : Bargain and sale 1) Robert Lindsell and William Hogg 2) Frederick Hogg and William Lindsell (purchaser) consideration £1869 16 Oct 1836 “White Swan”, Potton, in occupation then of John Tyler cottage adjoining then in occupation of Charles Smith, three cottages near adjoining Swan in occupation of Leeding Bimson, John Cooper, Jacob Russell And messuage “Three Horse Shoes”, Potton late in occupation of Thomas Ellig [Ellis] then Thomas Partridge And messuage “ The Chequers”, which was built by John Pedley the elder of Potton on site of certain cottages burnt down by fire 1783 then in occupation of Elizabeth Mead rent 5s..1d, 9d, and 1s..2d 13 Feb 1836
