- Scope and Contentpresents death of Thomas Hankin, sometime of Potton late of Ellsworth, Cambridgeshire, gentleman nephew of William Hankin, late of Potton, gentleman by whose Will, dated 4 April 1782 and now remaining in Prerogative Court of Canterbury, he was left following properties Moiety: in “Swann”, Potton now in occupation of Judith Apperley, widow and Joseph Gilbert : several copyhold messuages adjoining now in occupation of Richard Richardson and Keeling Bimson : 8½ acres freehold lying dispersed in Common fields of Potton (formerly estate of Elizabeth Ward, widow deceased, devised to nephew Joseph Atkinson deceased) Admittance: Son of Thomas:- Thomas Pate Hankin 2/3rd share of White Swan, same division into 3 tenements formerly in occupation of Judith Apperley, James Hall, Thomas Hills, Elizabeth Eaves,widow, now of Judith Apperley, Richard Richardson and Joseph Gilbert and outhouses, malthouse, dovehouse, shops (William Hankin admitted 31 October 1769) ½ share in a copyhold cottage, Potton sometime in occupation of Elizabeth Eaves, widow deceased and now of ___ Bimson, widow and adjoining Swan (Hankin admitted 5 November 1771) NB. T P Hankin 20 years and property is vested in Samuel Wells, gentleman, his brother in law 3 Jun 1785
