Examination of Millbrook Award shows that land claimed by Edward Roffe was allotted to Lord Ossory; Roffe gratefully accepts ii)’s generous offer.
Johnson mentions to i) that ii) wished to know whether there was a Sunday School at Marston; Mr Gawthrop has endeavoured to establish schools both for boys and girls but has failed to raise sufficient funds and to find persons competent to the task; hopes yet to be successful and will state the facts to ii).
