Out of Court surrender by Sarah Marsom of Luton, widow, James Gutteridge of Eaton Green, Luton, yeoman to use of John Dilly of Southill, gentleman a) all that part and so much of a close of pasture lying near or at the back of a messuage formerly Anthony Reynolds (3 acres) Langford (close now called the Dovehouse Close – rest is copyhold of Manor of Langford Rectory) b) close of meadow, formerly of Richard Miles called Midsummer Meadow, lying next the River (4 acres) (held with 1 acre held from manor of Langford with Holme) (now divided into 2 pieces called the Great and Little Meadow) all above now in occupation of William Cox 3 May 1777
