Allen the testator was Thomas Allen to whom cottage and old enclosures were limited by RH3/3 copyhold strict search made in Court Rolls of Manor of Millbrook but no title can be deduced earlier than 1769 see certificate of burial of Lidy Burridge and Ann Allen and affidavit of Thomas Allen that he is customary heir of John Allen, certificate of marriage of John Pedder and Ann Hiner, widow, née Allen and certificate of baptism of Thomas St John Pedder
