Samuel Whitbread II to John Morris

Writes to Mr Morris protesting about the way his heavy wagons cut up the roads. They used to use the Ampthill - Bedford Road [Turnpike 14], but now turn off through Limmersey Lane to the Wilstead road [Turnpike 7], thus causing great hardship to Maulden. Will propose that a weighing machine be erected at the Wilstead Gate.
