born 24 January 1825, grandson of Samuel Wells, brewer (died 24 July 1831) provisions in Samuel Wells Will for payment of money to his grandchildren (NB children of his 2 daughters) partner 1857 to 1898 when business was sold to George Winch of Chatham March 1832 Eliza Beauford, elder grandchild of Samuel Wells (and daughter of Eliza Hogg) 21 at which date the 2 daughters of Samuel Wells had 12 other children living between them. Release of executors by Eliza Beauford and 12 other children 30 July 1842 they get their legacies as follows: Lindsells: Robert Henry 18 June 1845 £4000 Caroline Catherine 14 April 1846 £5000 Harriet 1 August 1842 £5000 (To trustees of marriage settlement) Reverend Henry Green and Margaret his wife 12 February 1838 C S Lindsell 28 August 1849 £5000 Hogg: Hannah (later married John Lindsell) 2 February 1852 £5000 Frederick Archdale 31 July 1875 £5000 (trustees of marriage settlement) Louisa 24 April 1862 £5000 approved Hooper and Company 30 March 1899 declared 31 May 1899
