- Scope and Contenta) Abstract of Will of Robert Lindsell of Fairfield, Biggleswade : to eldest son Robert Henry Lindsell – dwelling house Fairfield lying adjoining and estate at Eyeworth : Robert Henry and Charles Samuel Lindsell lands vested on him as Trustee or Mortgagee residue to 2 sons, empowered to sell bequeathed annuity to wife Frances (who by his death had been dead many years) : daughter Frances £3000 : daughter Margaret wife of Reverend Henry Green £5000 : equally between children of his late Caroline Catherine (wife of John Samuel Knox) if die under 21 reverts to survivors proved 17 Sep 1857 b) Will of William Hogg, late of Biggleswade deceased : son Frederick Hogg and Charles Samuel Lindsell, nephew friend William Seppings of King’s Lynn, Norfolk esquire messuages etc. over which he should have any devisable estate at Biggleswade and Shelford and elsewhere in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Huntingdonshire (except premises in Cambridgeshire hereinfore disposed of in connection with his brewery at Biggleswade or business as banker or merchant to son Frederick capital and live and dead stock belonging to trade as brewer, merchant or banker at Biggleswade to executors:- 3 principal sums £2000 and 1 of £4000 (charged on above estate) + sum of £8000 and one more of £4000 (both charged on Norfolk estate) one £4000 :- to daughter Frances, reversion to children the other £4000 to daughter Louisa Hogg, reversion to children £2000 Eliza wife of H W Beauford, reversion as above £2000 Harriet wife of John Lindsell made Codicil of 27 January 1862 further £4000 charged on “Johnson F Hogge’s” estate in lieu of £4000 charged to Trustees Further codicil of 2 May 1862 £4000 to daughter Louisa to be given to her Marriage Settlement Trustees Further codicil 10 May 1862 income of £2000 in favour of daughter Eliza Beauford charged with payment of interest due on Bond entered by William Hogg with W H (?H W) Beauford (to be a primary debt) (William Hogg died 7 July 1862) 2 Oct 1862 Will of Robert Henry Lindsell devises Mansion House and lands purchased by him Annuities for 2 daughters and son charged on his interest in Chatteris Brewery (Cambridgeshire) residue to 2 eldest sons Henry Martin and Arthur Knox Lindsell (including interest in brewery and bank, Biggleswade) 3 codicils to will of 28 February 1884, 25 April 1885, 30 December 1889 (died 15 July 1891) proved Dec 1891 made c. 1898
