Schedule re terms of the trust present feoffees and feoffees appointed by the master to stand seised of property in Ampthill and moiety of house in Maulden, in trust for use of the industrious poor persons belonging to the parish of Ampthill. other moiety for use of poor persons of Maulden. lease properties for most improved annual rents on lease of up to 7 years. Can appoint certain of the cottages for rent free occupation for poor persons. Rents to be applied for use of “settled inhabitants of parish of Ampthill”. Whether immediately objects for relief under Poor Law Acts or not. Accounts to be kept and be open for inspection once a year by parishioners of Ampthill who are rated to the relief of the poor at £5 or more at a General Vestry to be called by any 3 of the inhabitants to be so rated between 15 February and 15 March every year. Trustees to submit accounts to 2 Justices of district if thought necessary by the Vestry. Accounts to be kept separate from general parochial accounts. Donors always intended Feoffees should run charity “not answerable to the ordering or intermeddling of the Churchwardens and Overseers or Visitors and Guardians of the Poor of Ampthill”. Feoffees to meet in the chancel of Parish Church of Ampthill “as often as it may be thought necessary” called by 2 Feoffees, 3 to be a quorum (decisions binding till next General Meeting) Account Book and Minute Book to be kept. Title deeds to be kept in parish church of Ampthill with 3 locks. keys to be kept by 3 of the feoffees. Rector if resident to hold one Parchment on outside of box saying who holds the keys. As soon as 6 feoffees die, 6 more must be enfeoffed by the survivors.
