Letter from Richard Penson , steward of Shillington Rectory Manor , to Charles Nicholls, attorney at law in Hitchin . He thinks that Nicholls was admitted to 3 acres late Clarkes & part of a cottage in 3 May 1677. But at the last court Nicholls the son was admitted to 3 acres late Hanscombe's and this must have been a mistake for the 1/5 part of a cottage. He will hold a court on Monday , 28 March 1709 at 1 o' clock when Nicholls may come and rectify the mistake! He has notified Mr. Conquest of Hitchin about an admission. Cambridge
