    Holland House rumour that Lord Grey and SW are of the same mind & the government could be formed by Lords Grenville & Grey without his assistance. Lord Ponsonby has gone to Southill to confirm reconciliation & find out feelings on the Catholic question. Duke of Bedford, Mr. Giles, Lords Carrington & Essex are to visit there. TC is certain that no government could be formed without SW. There is much to be done eg. George Canning & Irish Catholics; Lord Kensington, Ward Hutchinson, Owen Williams & Maxwell will not follow Lord Grey unconditionally. Requests Mrs Cole be asked if the opposition bench is to be left to SW.
