    ... Devises to wife Elizabeth for natural life, a cottage in occupation of himself and Mrs Robinson (except buildings devised to grandson John Swepson) and then to granddaughter Sarah Swepson her heirs and assigns for ever. Also to his wife for life, 3 cottages in Maulden in occupation of Henry Ward, George Northwood and Henry Riley, together with a close in Maulden called Bendee’s Pightle; and after decease of wife, to granddaughter Elizabeth Northwood; and after her decease to all her children, or if but one child be living, to him and his heirs for ever. Also to said wife, a cottage in Maulden, with a small piece of garden adjoining in occupation of [blank] Parker, with all the barns and buildings not hereinbefore devised; and after her decease, to grandson John Swepson his heirs and assigns for ever..
