    Recites Will of Samuel Whitbread, grandfather of 1 & 4, creating entail, and that Samuel Whitbread died 11 June 1796. Conveyance of 28 June 1818 confirmed 1 & 2 convey to 3 :- 34 acres 16 perches in Shefford Hardwick (part of 66 acres 3 roods 19p.):- Part of close called Tilers Field, 26 acres 12 perches North West part of close called Middle Field, 8 acres 4 perches 3. convey to 1. (to hold as life tenant with remainder in fee or as appoints by will) :- Messuage and farm in Nether Stondon, Shillington, with 80 acres ("in their common field state") and property as in a conveyance 22 and 23 Aug. 1785 from William Cope to Samuel Whitbread, or allotments made in lieu of it, for £785. Messuage in Green End, near Shillington Churchyard, with 2 closes of pasture (4 acres 2 roods) adjoining, heretofore occupied Richard Bunyan, conveyed by William Johnson and wife Elizabeth, J. Horn and wife Sarah, & James Humberston and wife Elizabeth, to Samuel Whitbread, 20 & 21 July 1789, and all allotments made in lieu of it by Enclosure, for £300
