    Tom Henry Coleman said: I am a Builder at Bedford – the prisoner has been in my employ about 3 years – about the latter part of 1891 the prisoner was engaged in work for me at Cranfield and about the end of the year I missed some tiles from the house at Cranfield – On the 15th November 1892 with a search warrant in company with PS Pickering at the prisoners house was found [listed] 7 half tiles; 18 half Tessolatesd tiles; 4 2x2 Tessolated tiles; 7 6x1½ border tiles which I identified as my property and worth 5 shillings. Andrew Pickering said: I am a Police sergeant stationed at Arlesey - On Tuesday 15 November 1892 I went with Mr Coleman and PC Busby to the house of the prisoner George Seymour with a search warrant and in a cupboard in the living room I found 18 small Tassolated tiles and 18 other small tiles which Mr Coleman identified as his property I took possession of them and conveyed them to the Biggleswade Police Station and now produce them. statement of the accused: I reserve my defence
