Close of pasture lying between messuage and a close formerly of Thomas Searle and abutting on highway leading to Lannock. 1acre in Lannock Field, abutting on Hitchin Way. Close, 1acre, in Broad Mead in Weston. 1acre land called Cirstens Acre, abutting South on land formerly of William Underwood, gent 3 acres in Town Field in Stone Shot, abutting South on William Hale Esq. 3 acres arable in Lannock Field, next land heretofore William Underwood's 1 headland acre lying in Town Field, land heretofore J. Rumbold East and Ferne Furlong West Copyhold of Manor of Shillington (Conditional Surrender, 10 Nov 1790) inter alia:- Woodall Stile Close, Shillington, 3 acres late occupied Samuel Odell then Richard Jepps, who was admitted on surrender of Mary Bacon 7 Nov 1767 Messuage in which Richard Twydell formerly dwelt, at Green End, Shillington, pightle adjoining. 1/2 acre, and common for one cow to which Richard Jepps was admitted on surrender of H. Bonfield 31 Nov 1781 Copyhold of manor of Shillington Rectory (Conditional Surrender 10 Nov 1790 ) :- inter alia :- Heriotable messuage in Pound End - Rent 8d. Conveyance (Lease and Release) - 9&10 Sept 1796 - £800 1. William Wilshere 2. Richard Jepps 3. J. Pryor and James Cecil Grave, Esq., his trustee. Property specified in the mortgage above. (other unspecified property has been sold to Whitbread) A doubt about the title has been raised in consideration of the Marriage settlement (Lease and Release) 5 and 6 June 1700 between James Jepps and Sarah Sherman (grandparents of Richard Jepps, party hereto.) William Wilshere is therefore to retain the copyhold portion of the property for 10 years in trust to indemnify J. Pryor if anyone should bring forward a successful claim to the property by virtue of the Settlement.
