Hi/PL/9/1

A603, Cardington Plans and sections of the improvement of Cardington Cross Roads (junction of the A603 and B568), includes constructional detail of the carriageway, kerbside, culverts and other accomodation works. The plans for the improvement were first drawn up in 1962, the scheme was proposed in 1963 and after a delay due to lack of funds construction work took place in 1967 (see the County Surveyor's Reports, 1963-1967, Ref: Hi/V/160/9-11) Engineer: S W Lynn, Bedfordshire County Surveyor Original Refs: A603/23/14-19, (two sheets each for 15 and 16), 24 (two sheets) and 29-30.
