Photograph of the new library, which was built over the lower hall and officially opened in 1927. Once mounted in an album this photograph is on one side of a cut sheet, the other side has a photograph of an unknown woman posing on the grass, by a river, in a dress and hat.

The material was used as the basis for Richard Smart's book on the history of the Bedford Training College and the Physical Education College.
