    Magistrates: George P Livius, Thomas Abbott Green, William Shove Chalk. 33 prisoners in custody. There are two prisoners in the Infirmary. Mr Wing the Clerk instructed to make out forthwith the half years account ending 31st December 1846 of the expense of the maintenance of convicted prisoners agreeably to the letter ofthe Secretary of State presented the last Quarter Sessions and that he deliver the same to the Justices at an adjourned Session on the 23rd February next (deferred to the Easter Sessions). Frederick Weston of Luton, brother to Charles Weston now in this prison and under sentence of transportation for 10 years applied for the following articles taken from his brother by the police at Luton at the time of his being taken into custody and which are said to be Captain Boultbees office, viz: a silver watch; a silver guard chain; 14/6 in silver; a gold pen; 1 dozen soap and candles. The prisoner was called in and he expressed a desire that the property above named should be delivered to his brother if the Magistrates so determine - as this is the case of a Transport the visiting Justices declined making an order upon the subject but refer the matter to the Magistrates at the adjourned Quarter Sessions to be held on the 23rd February next. Samuel White, a prisoner committed for trial from Stevington applies for the following property that was taken from him by the police when taken into custody - a silver watch, 2/7d in money. the prisoner requires the above in order to raise money for his defence at his ensuing trial. The above appearing a case of highway robbery with violence the Justices decline making any order.
