Authority to deliver Indenture to Apprentice. Letter to John Green, Woburn. Charles Lancaster having completed the term of his apprenticeship with me I hereby authorize you to deliver to him his Indentures. John Samwell, 7 March 1862. Received 7 March 1862 the apprenticeship Indenture by which I was bound to Mr Samwell by the Trustees of Granges Charity of Cranfield. Charles Lancaster. Pencil note: the duplicate Indenture was not in the bundle at the time the other part was given to the apprentice – it is supposed Mr Langston kept it.HJH.
