- Scope and ContentApprenticeship Indenture: George Nixon Corbishley son of Joseph Corbishley of Woburn, carpenter (by and with the consent of his said father testified by his executing these presents), apprentice to Robert Feake Nixon of Woburn, carpenter, joiner & builder. From the day of the date hereof for the term of seven years. Robert Feake Nixon for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings paid to him by the said Joseph Corbishley on or before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt thereof he doth hereby acknowledge His said apprentice in the art and science of a carpenter, joiner and builder which he useth by the best means that he can shall teach and instruct or cause to be taught and instructed finding unto the said apprentice sufficient meat drink clothes lodging and all other necessaries during the said term except washing which the said Joseph Corbishley doth hereby agree to provide for his said son.
