Statement by Elizabeth Manning - she went to Joel Golding of Kempston the morning the girl was born and said she hoped he would do something for her sister and that he did not doubt the child was his. He said he did not doubt it and gave her 6s. She then said she would want more and was she to come to him for it or would he send it to her. He answered that she must throw her on the parish.
