to daughter Sarah Newdegate, widow, executrix, ½ manor of Burston, Hertfordshire, purchased of Joseph Nichols and wife Sarah; also copyhold messuage and lands by right of survivorship by death of wife Sarah; tithes purchased of Josiah Lomax esquire deceased;
to sister Rose hall, widow, rent charge of £100 per annum from farms called Bowers Hall and Coolers End; and 300 acres in occupation Joseph Adams, and other lands specified; all in occupation Francis Sibley and in Harpenden;
to maidservant Elizabeth Moody £20 per annum from Hill Farm, St Stephens; also messuage called Thredders in Harpenden; and bedding;
other bequests to nephew and nieces and poor;
residue to daughter Sarah; remainder to nieces Ann Redding, widow and Elizabeth wife of Heylock Kingsley;
