“Case stating Mr Pym’s right to the manor of Girtford, and to the several pieces of heath ground, parcel of the said manor”. States that the manor formerly belonged to the Knights of St John of Jerusalem, and has considerable demesnes and wastes and many tenants. It is independent (the hamlet of Girtford has all parish officers and collectors of taxes separate and distinct from Sandy), but the lands of both “are throughout the parish intermixed very much and in very small pieces”.
