Statement signed by William Pym senior and junior (but not by Monoux) as to settlement arrived at with Sir Philip Monoux and his steward Ambrose Reddall (father of Lady Monoux):

on the testimony of William Freeman, carpenter, John Osbaldeston, weaver, and John Yerrill, labourer, all over 70, and all of whom remembered Baron Britain, it was accepted that Hasells manor is not subject to Sandy manor; Hasells bounds are laid down in detail; though Hasells is not under Sandy, the payment of £6 per annum is recorded in Sandy manor court roll for convenience
