    ... 10½ acres (part of 21¼ acres) in the common fields of Sandy and Girtford:- in Down Field: on Highway furlong, abutting W. on Tempsford highway; on Stonehill and Sunne furlongs; in Belland Field on Curlidge and Belland furlongs, abutting E. on Waterhurst furlong, on Woolland furlong, abutting W. on Whitlay furlong, on Cartway furlong; in Austret Field on Long hawfield furlong, abutting W. on the common brache and on Pope’s headland, on Hawbush abutting E. on Austrett furlong, on Clanhill; in Kinwick Field abutting E. on the heath; purchased by Elizabeth of Henry Eydropp (youngest son of Richard Eydropp senior) and of William Eydropp (son and heir of Richard Eydropp, eldest son and heir of Richard Eydropp senior); (the Eydropp – Richard senior and Henry – purchased of William Wye of St Neots, tanner; William Wye having purchased of Robert Carter of Hatch, yeoman; Carter purchased of George Smythe of Biggleswade, gentleman; George Smythe purchased 3½ acres of one Redhedd of Sandy; and the residue formerly belonged to the late dissolved monastery of Warden; and were conveyed by Henry VIII to John Maynard and Richard Grymes 1 October 1546; who sold to Thomas Grynden 1 February 1547; whose wife and heirs sold to George Smyth 8 February 1569; and of which a terrier occurs in a deed of 25 August 1587); to hold by free socage of the manor of East Greenwich; Witnesses: Jo.
