Scope and Content
Deeds and other documents relating to the estates of the Baker, Coleman, Denis, Perrin and Stapleton families (most of which were inter-related), being largely the documents of Theed Pearse of Bedford, solicitor, as executor of one or more members of these families. BC327-BC406 were found in a parcel labelled: "Deeds & Papers relating to the Stapleton Family and Mrs. Richard Denis". Most of the documents were found tied into bundles, and these groupings have been retained in the catalogue. It is probable that most, if not all, of the deeds in BC198-236 also belong to this group [cf. WI291-292]
