    Luton II (Park Town) Primitive Circuit

    Founded when Luton Primitive Circuit was divided into two in 1879. Three chapels (Luton Mount Tabor, Markyate and Slip End) formed Luton III Circuit in 1903. After unification of Wesleyan, Primitive and United Methodists in 1932 all Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist Circuits in Luton were combined into two circuits, Luton and High Town. Chapels: Bendish; Harpenden, Southdown Rd (Herts); Luton, Church Street (from 1880); Luton, Hibbert Street (from 1886, closed 1897); Luton, Mount Tabor (from 1897, Luton III from 1903); Luton, Park Town; Markyate (Luton III from 1903, closed 1907); Redbourn (from 1887); St Albans, Boundary Rd (Herts) (from 1909); Slip End (Luton III from 1903); Trowley Bottom
