- Scope and ContentRichard Goosey of Podington, baker - Bonfield had been in his service since last Christmas as assistant in his baking business. He was authorised ro receive money for him for which he ought to account on the day he received it. Bonfield left his service clandestinely on 18 September. He then learned Bonfield had received money from some of his customers for which he had not accounted, including 5s 5d due to him from Wm Clark of Hinwick, £1 2s 2d due from William Cooper of Hinwick and 4s 10 1/2d due from Benjamin Horn of Hinwick. Ann Clark, wife of William Clark of Hinwick, farmer - on Monday 18 September she ordered 2 stone of flour and 2 loaves from Mr Goosey. They were bought to her by Bonfield and she paid him 5s 5d for them. Bonfield gave her no bill. Fanny Cooper, wife of William Cooper of Hinwick, servant - on Monday 11 September she paid Bonfield £1 19s 7d which her husband owed Mr Goosey. Bonfield brought here the bill on the same day. Ann Horn, wife of Benjamin Horn of Podington, labourer - on Monday 18 September she paid Bonfield 4s 10 1/2d for his master Mr Goosey which her husband owed for bread and flour.
