Recites lease for 900 years: John Burgoyne of Sutton esquire 1587 to William Smith: rent per year 5d (with suit to Potton Much Manured); now come to William Tear; assignment 9 November 1780: (i) Henry Ainsworth of Potton, shepherd, & wife Elizabeth; (ii) James Johnson of Sutton, labourer, & wife Ann (widow of Robert Newbrooke late of Sutton, labourer); (iii) William Tear: - that part of a tenement & barn in Potton abutting on highway leading to church & on Loppers lane, set out from the rest, near the tenement late of Susan Gray, now pulled down.
