During the 1940s & 1950s the Manns lived at 147 New Bedford Road. John Donald Thomas Mann worked at Vauxhall Motors. He was a parish councillor for Streatley and Councillor for Luton Rural District Council between 1858 – 1961.
Stella Norah Mann was a milliner for several hat suppliers in central Luton.
Archival history
These documents were donated to Luton Museum in February 2011 by George W Mann, son of John Donald Thomas Mann & Stella Norah Mann. They were transferred to Beds & Luton Archives in November 2012.
