    Details given: Recites that John Taylor of Sandy, yeoman, deceased, mortgaged 12 March 1585 to Thomas Grenleff: -- 2 1/2 acres in Sandy, then occupied by Thomas Aldrydge, since by Roger Aldrydge, which land John Taylor purchased of Sir Robert Catelyn, knight, and John Yarrowe, gentleman, 1 December 1572. This land was still held by Grenleff and wife at time of their deaths and is now vested in Bromsall. Assignment: -- 1 acre 1 rood, half the above; - lying in Easthalfdowne, between land of the lord occupied by John Paternoster north and by Thomas Fyssher south, east head abutting lord's land in the occupation of John Paternoster, and the baulk of Thomas Bromsayle's land going down longlane; - in Delne furlong at Downe bush, the baulk north, land of William Carter south; - a headland on Stonhyll furlong, next land late of Thomas Cate junior now of [–] east; - at Deadmansbalke, or Hache Knoll, between land late in the occupation of John Symon east, land of the lord occupied by William Carter west 'and it is the fourth land from the highway'; - in Longreddegrass furlong, between land of heirs of Thomas Burgoyne, late William Houghton, south, and of the lord in the occupation of William Carter, east, head abutting the Queen's highway.
