- Scope and ContentJesse Dilley of Sandy, warrener – yesterday (30 Sept) he saw Chamberlain come on the Potton end of the heath at Sandy and pull up 10 rabbit snares set for the purpose of catching rabbits. He went up to Chamberlain and found the snares in his pocket. Chamberlain said he knew he was “catched fair”. He took Chamberlain to his master Mr Tilcock (the owner of the snares). He is employed by Tilcock to destroy the rabbits on Sandy Warren. He had assisted Thomas Housden that afternoon in making the snares and had set them the same evening he watched them. The snares are worth 2d each. William Chamberlain – he did it only for a bit of bread for his family.
