reciting bond of Edmund Sear of 22 September 1841 in £1600 to secure repayment of £800 and interest at 4 1/2 % per annum
also reciting memo endorsed on said bond, and of same date, that deeds of Herne Farm had been deposited with Bassett, Grant and Bassett as further security and Edmund Sear had agreed to make a mortgage of the premises, if required
reciting also the death of Joyce Sear in October 1844 and that ii) is 21 and is tenant for life of Herne Farm.
Francis Bassett became partner in firm of Bassett, Grant and Bassett in 1841.
John Grant died on 29 December 1842. Will dated 1 December 1840, by which iv) were appointed executors together with Han Grant and Han Darby. Will proved on 20 February 1843.
Peter John Bassett retired from his share in the business in September 1843 and brother Francis Bassett took his place. Peter John Bassett died on 14 Jul 1846
iii) have recently required repayment of said £800
v) has agreed to lend this sum plus £51 16s being the expenses involved in raising the money
now in consideration of £800 paid to iii) by v) at the request of i) and consent of ii) and iv)
