Visitors’ books kept by Albert E Stringer and his wife Ella Eva Stringer who ran a boarding house at 20, Albion Road, Luton, for various artistes, dancers, singers and actors mostly performing at The Palace and The Grand Theatres. Most of the messages simply thank the Stringers for their hospitality, and occasionally refer to their pet dog Prince.
