6 July: George Cardale. 44 males 7 females. The Gaoler states on the authority of the medical attendant that John Field is very ill labouring under diarrhoea and that Amelia Gulliver is suffering from the same complaint. 13 July: Frederick H Neve. The Gaoler has received the order for the removal of the 13 convicts and proposes removing eight of them on Wednesday and the remainder after the Assizes. Field, one of the prisoners for trial, has been very ill but is reported by the surgeon to be better.
