The 7th annual report of Bedfordshire General Library in 1837(see Li/Lib B1/2/1)records that “Henry Edmund Goodhall Esq of Guildford Street, Russell Square, has, conjointly with his sister Miss Goodhall, presented to the Institution his late father’s valuable and extensive collection of manuscripts......” The 1837 library catalogue(Ref: Li/Lib B1/8/1 p 19)mentions “ a collection of Bedfordshire autographs” in the Goodhall papers
