- Scope and Content27 June Thomas Barber The number of prisoners is 47 males and 2 females. 11 July Robert Moore. The Gaoler reported that n consequence of information he has received and from his own observations he has had reason to fear that an attempt would be made by James Dearing, Daniel Deacon and Richard Dillingham to escape from the prison if any opportunity should srise. He therefore solicited to be indulged with the Assistance of an extra Turnkey until the Assizes were over; it being absolutely necessary to watch them day and night, particulary James Derring who seems very apprehensive of the wait of his trial. Therefore granted.
