    William Woodstock of Leighton Buzzard, shoemaker – on Wednesday 15 October he kept a stall in Dunstable market. He saw Rust standing near his stall. He soon afterwards saw a crowd round a stall nearby. On going to see what was the matter he found she had been stealing from another stall. A person holding her asked if she had bought any boots from him – he said not. He lifted up her shawl and found the two odd boots now produced. He gave her in charged to PC Mark Lewis. Mark Lewis of Dunstable, clothier – about 11.30 am on Wednesday 15th William Woodstock gave Rust into his charge and gave him two odd boots he said she had stolen.
