BEDFORD: bones including parts of a human skull discovered during excavations at Britannia Works, Kempston Road; they were considered to be over 100 years old and to have formed at least three bodies; the Coroner’s Officer claimed knowledge of other bones found in the vicinity which he held to be the site of a former monastery.
