Confirms settlement (24 October and 17,18 December 1693) of manor lands and hereditaments in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, trustees Robert and Richard Hinde; and recites will of father-in-law John Hinde, 20 April 1694, codicil 19 May 1696 (£400 to be spent on lands similarly settled; and freehold houses in Perpoole lane, subject to rents going to wife Mary for life). Trustee Robert Hinde is to dispose of manor lands and hereditaments in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, subject of said marriage settlement, also said houses in Perpoole Lane, in trust for children, John, Mary, William, Samuel, Hinde, Rebecca, Joseph, Benjamin, James, Elizabeth and Sophia. Testator desires that his children not at school or otherwise disposed of shall live with his dear and loving wife. Executors: wife and son John, to whom diamond ring, gold watch and books, desiring him to give silver watch to next brother, and to set good example to brothers and sisters (ages of all children given).
