- Scope and Content... I am now in Carolina & have been allmost this two year ever sence I came away from the Spaniards when taken in the Bay of Hundorass. I am quite tyr’d of the sea and I am taken into a new course of liveing in tradeing amongst the Indians. I am now just come down from the Chigasaws Indians about eight hundred mile of the settlements of this Province. Notwithstanding the liveing & lying in the woods I like it much better than going to sea. I am going in a day or twos time amongst another nation of Indians which they call the Chereykeys & shall be down if God willing in about six months time.
