Air mail letter. Very fragile condition. Addressed to 4 Trinity Road, Luton. Sebbie Darling, First of all I want to tell you how very pleased I am to here [sic] the measles have left you and you can go out again. Can you remember the last time you had them? Ask your Mummy. Well darling, I have sent you and Mummy a very nice parcel. For you there is a pair of shoes, four different kinds of ribbon for your hair, and a very beautiful little book. This book came from the country where Jesus was born. On one side is some very nice pictures of Jerusalem and on the other side is some very pretty flowers. You must be sure and show them to your Sunday School teacher. There are also some photographs for your album. One shows me picking a great big orange off a tree, and another one shows me eating it!! I am sorry I cannot send you any oranges but they would go bad. I have had a very nice holiday. I went to the land where Jesus lived. It was very pretty and one day you and Mummy may be able to go. I also saw the place where the naughty men killed Jesus. Darling Sebbie, I forgot to tell you I love you and Mummy very much. Give her a huge kiss for me. The mousey couldn’t eat the walnuts because he couldn’t crack open the shell. Goodnight my darling, cuddle up to Mummy and keep her warm. All my love, Daddy xxxx. I also put in the parcel a nice pair of socks. For you, not Mummy.
