- Ann, daughter of Joseph and Ann Howell, baptized 11th May 1747 in Elm [Cambridgeshire];
- Mary, daughter of Joseph and Ann Howell, baptized 4th July 1749 in Elm;
- Joseph, son of Joseph and Ann Howell baptized 24th April 1754 at Wisbech [Cambridgeshire];
- Frances, daughter of Joseph and Ann Howell baptized 29th March 1753 at Wisbech;
- Elizabeth, daughter of Joseph and Ann Howell baptized 14th April 1757 at Wisbech;
- John, son of Joseph and Ann Howell baptized 23rd January 1765 at Emneth [Norfolk];
- John Marshall of Elm, bachelor married Ann Howell of Emneth, spinster by licence 11th April 1771; witnesses Elizabeth Marshall and Mary Howell;
- Rev. Richard Oswin of Wisbech, widower married Mary Howell of Elm, spinster at Elm by licence 25th June 1793; witnesses Mary Alice Moore and Ann Marshall;
- Ann, wife of John Marshall, yeoman buried at Elm 23rd September 1790;
- John Goddard son of John and Ann Marshall baptized at Elm 12th February 1779;
- oath of 24th February 1824 by John Marshall of Wisbech Saint Peter, esquire, aged 73 that he knew Joseph Howell, formerly of Elm, then of Emneth and Ann, his wife, before called Ann Bailey, spinster, father and mother of Joseph Howell of Markyate Cell, Caddington [Hertfordshire] and both deceased. They married about 1745 or 1746 and had seven children Joseph and John, Ann, Mary, Frances, Elizabeth and Sarah. Joseph the eldest of the two sons died a bachelor in October 1819 and John died a bachelor about 1790. Ann married John Marshall on
MN36/21 11th April 1771 and died in September 1781; Mary married Rev, Richard Oswin, survived him and was then living; Frances married Gregory Page Turner, bart, survived him and was then living; Elizabeth married John Patrick Moore, esquire and died in March 1820, her husband now living; Sarah married Henry Falkner, gentleman and survived him and was then living; John and Ann Marshall had three children – John Goddard Marshall, Joseph Marshall and one daughter, all of whom were then living, John Goddard Marshall being the eldest. John Patrick Moore and Elizabeth, his wife had three children John Vaux Moore and two daughters: John Patrick and John Vaux Moore were then living.

- marriage of Sir Gregory Page Turner, bart of Wisbech and Frances Howell of Saint George, Hanover Square [Middlesex] by special licence at Page Turner’s house at 11 Portland Square on 2nd January 1785 witnessed by James Jones and Thomas Ashley Maberley;
- Mary Oswin of Market Street, Studham, widow made an oath on 12th May 1832 that she was a sister of Joseph Howell late of Markyate Cell [Hertfordshire] and that he was eldest son of Joseph Howell and Ann, his wife and that Joseph and Ann had seven children: Ann born 1747; Mary born 1749; Joseph born 1751; Frances born 1753; Elizabeth born 1755; Sarah born 1757 and John born 1765; Ann married John Marshall in 1771 and had two children – John Goddard Marshall in 1779 and Joseph Marshall in 1781; Ann Marshall died in 1781 and John Goddard Marshall was also dead leaving two children as his heirs, a son and a daughter both living; Mary married Rev. Richard Oswin in 1793 and had no issue; Joseph died in 1819 intestate and unmarried; Frances married Sir Gregory Page Turner, bart in 1785 and had issue – Sir Gregory Osborn Page Turner, bart and several others; Lady Frances Page Turner was now dead; Elizabeth married John Patrick Moore in 1790 and had one son – Rev. John Vaux Moore born in 1798 and two daughters; Elizabeth Moore died in 1820; Sarah married Henry Falkner in 1786 and had issue – Joseph Falkner born in 1788; Sarah Falkner died in 1824; John Howell died in 1790 intestate and unmarried;

- burial of Henry Falkner at Walpole Saint Peter on 5th May 1814, aged 56;
- burial of Sarah Falkner at Walpole Saint Peter on 15th March 1824, aged 62;
- baptism of Joseph, son of Henry and Sarah Falkner at Upwell [Norfolk] on 25th February 1788;
- administration of the estate of Sarah Falkner granted to Joseph Falkner, her son in September 1824;
- burial of John Howell of Emneth at Elm on 18th March 1790;
- oath of Hugh Jackson of Wisbech of 1st September 1836 that he knew Henry Falkner and Sarah, his wife as she was the maternal aunt of the deponent’s wife and he knew Joseph, son of Henry and Sarah Falkner, a defendant in a suit in Chancery (Harriot Coutts and others versus Mary Oswin and others); there had been another elder son called Henry but he had died before attaining his majority and in the lifetimes of his parents;
- oath of Edward Chilwell Williamson of Luton, gentleman of 7th December 1836 regarding Chancery suits Harriot Coutts and others versus Mary Oswin and others and William, Duke of Saint Albans and Harriett his wife and others versus Mary Oswin and others and William. Duke of Saint Albans and Harriett his wife versus John Newport and others and William, Duke of Saint Albans and Harriett his wife versus John Vaux Moore and others: he knew Joseph Howell formerly of Markyate Cell for sixteen years previous to his death in 1819; that Joseph was son of Joseph and Ann Howell who were married about 1745 or 1746 and had issue: Ann, afterwards Ann Marshall, born 1747; Mary, afterwards Mary Oswin, born 1749; Joseph born in 1751; Frances, afterwards Frances Page Turner, born 1753; Elizabeth, afterwards Elizabeth Moore, born Sarah, afterwards Sarah Falkner, born 1757 and John born 1765; Ann married John Marshall in 1781 and had two sons, John Goddard in 1779 and Joseph in 1781 and one daughter Caroline Jane; John Goddard Marshall was now dead; Mary married Rev. Richard Oswin in 1793, he was now dead and they had no issue; Joseph died in 1819 intestate and ummarried; Frances married Sir Gregory Page Turner, bart in 1785, that she was dead leaving Sir Gregory Osborn Page Turner her eldest son and several other children; Elizabeth married John Patrick Moore in 1790 and died in 1820 leaving one son Rev. John Vaux Moore, born in 1798 and two daughters; Sarah married Henry Falkner in 1786 and died in 1824 leaving one son Joseph born in 1788 and one daughter; John Howell died in 1790 intestate and unmarried.
