    About negotiations with William Tibey & J. Eliot for settling the will of How's mother in law Mariabella Briggins : J. Eliot is apparently making difficulties. Lobsters are out of season, but sends 12 large fine native Milton oysters & a piece,of cod for his wife Tomorrow is to be celebrated my aunt's wedding dinner, with a turkey & sausages [and a fillet of cod crossed out] & I know not what else; but there is to be no butcher's meat. It seems her first marriage dinner was so managed, 29th. 8 mo. 1689, now the 65 marriage dinner & in her 90th year .... [this apparently refers to Mariabella Briggins]
