Following rents reserved:- 1) rent of £76 13s 4d reserved in principal lease. 2) Lease, 20 February 1559 / 60 by William Johnson Junior to John Tubman of Eggington, yeoman, of tithe of Eggington & Clipston for 30 years at £30 per annum. 3) Lease, 10 September 1560 by same to Robert Carvell of Leighton Buzzard butcher of tithes of Heath & Reach for 31 years at £24 per annum. 4) Lease, 20 September 1560 by same to Edmund Bolsworth of Leighton Buzzard. Tanner of 1/3 tithes of Stanbridge for 30 years at £12 per annum. 5) Lease, 20 September 1560 same to Thomas Leche of Leighton Buzzard, Smith of 1/3 tithes & 1/3 close & two barns in Stanbridge for 30 years at £12 per annum. 6) Lease 20 September 1560 same to Edmund Todkill of part of above for 30 years at £12 per annum. 7) KK89. 8) Lease 24 July 1568, same to Edmund Bolsworth alias Banester for 29 years at £12 per annum. 9) 1569 / 70 demise by same to Thomas Halsey alias Chambers for 50 years at £24 per annum. 10) Lease 8 November 1571 by same to William Bentham for 50 years per annum. 11) Lease, 12 November 1575 by same to Thomas Leche alias Leyche, for 30 years from 25 March 1590 at £12 per annum. 12) Lease 10 December 1575 by same to William Bentham for 30 years from 25 March 1590 at £12 per annum. 13) Lease 8 November 1570 same to John Tubman for 50 years at £30 per annum, 14) Lease not dated same to Roberts Graves of Leys called Grovebury leys (20 acres), until 25 March 1594 for 2 capons per annum. 15) Lease not dated to Thomas Halsey of tithes of Great & Little Billington at £34 per annum. 16) Lease, not dated to George Barne & Alice Barneham of tithe woods. 17) Lease not dated to Thomas Clobber of glebe in Heath & Reach for 15 years from Lady Day 1583 at 6s 8d per annum. Since William Johnson is heavily indebted & can only meet this by sale of prebend or of some part of Mary’s inheritance, & since prebend is distant from their home, & since William intends within 3 years to redeem the lease of parsonage of Burford (Oxon), which lies near inheritance of Mary, which was mortgaged to Michael Penyston gentleman for £600, and then to convey parsonage of B to Sir Walter Mildman in trust for self & wife Mary in lieu of her jointure. 3) that William Johnson & Laurence Eaton gentleman will enter into bond with Mildmay on delivery of these presents in £1,000 for redemption of lease of parsonage of Burford within 3 years.)
